The whole idea doesn't make any sense. One person's "living wage" (the one with 7 children) is another person's luxurious lifestyle (the one in a DINK marriage)

Pretty sure a majority of regular people don't want to go to work and would be happy to see their jobs automated away provided their material quality of life didn't go down.

Meta buys back stock all the time, in practice they do the opposite of diluting shareholders. You're right that they don't need to do this.

If I suggest putting your net worth on black at roulette and it lands on black, does that make my advice right? Khan forced the employees and investors to continue working and gambling on a company they might not have wanted to continue wor

Why not tax primary residences too? Why should housing hoarders pay no tax when someone who invests in a productive business or hoards mostly useless shiny metals has to pay capital gains tax?

Plasticky and creaky, at least for the BYDs that UberX drivers use in Mexico. They do have a lot of space / leg room. I don’t see any reason to buy one over a Tesla except for saving money.

It's classist that I have to work every day and the owners of capital do not, so what? There is nothing morally wrong with hiring someone to do labor for you.

One of humans' needs is for status which is by definition zero sum. Same with mating. If anything those two are probably the most important needs so it's not possible to build such a system.

My parents and grandparents grew up in communism and they had to work full time jobs (and help bring in the harvest in the fall) with a side of hours standing in queues to buy meat. Meanwhile modern capitalism will allow me to work as littl

Teslas are great cars. I've only been in BYDs in Mexican Ubers and I would not buy one, it felt cheap and plasticky and creaked.

Interns make $75k+ in tech in the US. It's definitely not unpaid. In fact my school would not give course credit for internships if they were unpaid.

That's like asking why would anyone buy a Mercedes when they can take the bus for $2. US healthcare is extremely high quality and timely if you can pay for it unlike the crap "free" Canadian "healthcare" I used to

Similar to goblin mode in dating you should 100% be yourself but only if you already have money and don't particularly need a given job. This works best when you already have a job. You want the shitty PHB megacorps to reject you so

You can pay the BNPL with a credit card to take advantage of both interest-free periods and get credit card points. There is really no reason not to use BNPL, even if you can pay cash.
