asm.js is currently only a usable target if you use C. You also can't compile JS to asm.js, for example. You get C-like performance by writing C.

VB uses garbage collection. You can't compile it to the JS subset of asm.js.

V8 is about 100 times (seriously) faster than IE6's JS engine. So, yes, "backward compatible with IE6" doesn't really mean anything. After executing 5 million statements, IE will ask you if you want to continue. It will ask you many times.

Dart is supposed to be "boring". Their intention was to create a language which is familiar to anyone who used Java, C#, AS3, JavaScript, or any other C-like language in the past. From my own experience, I'd say that this strategy worked ex

Oh, this one is fun. As far as everyone else is concerned, you're only defined by your actions. What you do is who you are. You can do whatever you want. What a twist!

There is no difference. There is one identifier which ties them together. If you change that identifier on one side, but not the other, it will stop working. It doesn't matter if that identifier is a class or something else. Well, if it's a

The best thing you can do is to connect those parts by one semi-generic identifier. There is no actual difference between using a class, an id, a data-attribute, or a ng-* attribute as hook. If you want to rename it, you have to rename it.

256 colors (well, 256 RGBA tuples ) aren't always enough. Just look at the kind of images used by those heavy parallax websites. Larger photo-based images will always look terrible, no matter which kind of dithering is used.

That only works for background images. Plus, the UA will send a request for the webp image even if it can't read the format. It needs the mime type to figure that out.

Mozilla is still against it. Makes me kinda angry, actually. They killed MNG/JNG, because it added like 100kB to the installer and because we should just use Flash instead (seriously). It's now a decade later and we still don't have a lossy

That's how JS works. You can pass as many extra parameters as you want (they get discarded) and you can also omit as many parameters as you want (it's like passing undefined). The array-like `arguments` object will always reflect what was a
