I think the reddit post missed the point multiple times. Laravel does not use the best principles everywhere, yes. Taylor Otwell is a (very) strange person, yes. But "Laravel should be considered harmful for the PHP community" is

Wow, what a brutal review. I had to read the first paragraph several times to let the brutality fully sink in. I was hoping that it would get better, that the author would bring some positivity to the book, but that hope was in vain. I have

Back in the day, we named the computers of our customers by tv shows or movies (futurama) and the disks inside them after the characters (fry, zoidberg, etc.). Worked well.

One often finds derogatory remarks about PHP, or that the popularity of the language is declining. Interestingly, the concept of PHP prevents exactly such problems, as a monolith written in PHP only ever executes the code paths that are nec

I think they did something with copilot x and vscode, where they have a chat like window in the IDE. But I'm using PHPstorm and since I mostly write laravel code, nothing is better than PHPstorm with the laravel idea plugin. I also th

I think the assumption that companies are willing to spend 10 billion dollars on AI training is unrealistic. Even the biggest companies would find such an investment to be a financial burden.

Yes, the article got it wrong. Klosterbräu is in Brandenburg, near Berlin. If you have the chance, try "Schwarzer Abt". It is a very sweet tasting beer, nothing like the big brands of german beer.

This is the way. The KeepassXC File is under your control, and you're able to make as many copies, as are necessary. 2fa is the right thing, but having the TOTP Codes on only a single device will get you in bad situations.

I think that is dangerous advice. It's easier to use Bitwarden, or KeePassXC in Google Drive, than a spreadsheet where you have to follow such rules. And the former ist much more secure against a lot of mistakes and attacks.
