I confirmed that the keybase desktop client also seems to be using mobile.twitter.com when I was scanning with wireshark. I know it is executing when going to the profile and it may be executing certain times a chat is initiated, but I

Yes, supposedly the client scrapes it using the website. They have a number of third party integrations they do this for. It's actually a point of contention for them to add more third parties within the community. (People wanted Lin

Sorry, but doesn't the client check the published keys itself? According to this document the client verifies the key that has been published on twitter or wherever else the user you are interacting with has publicly confirmed his

There is no video calling, but I already have other solutions that I use for that. Keybase is end-to-end encrypted as mentioned in the other comment, has good multi-platform support, and is free. The fact that the user can revoke a device

Yes, and yes it is secure. That is to say the data is encrypted and only you and the person(s) you are sending to have access to it. I have used it for credential sharing and use kbfs (Keybase's encrypted file sharing) for a simple se

As a Keybase user for a number of years I'm very happy with the platform. I'm probably part of the silent majority who use Keybase and have been genuinely happy with it and don't speak up when others have complaints. I use

I'm kind of on the opposite side of this, because I like to have a bunch of different meal possibilities and then mix and match during the week based on what I have going on. I think to do weekly meal planning you need to have a very

cottage cheese is typically high in casein, not whey protein. You can buy casein protein powder just like whey, but it is not as easy to mix. My preferred casein alternative is greek yogurt. Oikos makes a high protein one that has 15g of

I am also suspicious as well. The biggest turn off for me initially was the fact that you had to login to use even the free tool. Apparently though this has been addressed somewhat overtime. ( https://www.reddit.com/r/

Just in the normal reminders app. You can ask Siri to delete the reminder or just mark it off in the reminders app itself.

What I really like about Siri is the geofencing capability. "Siri, remind me when I get home to text Daniel" (or something of that nature) This way the reminder is not tied to a particular time, but instead tied to a location th

I use Alexa to add to my grocery list over the course of the week. If I run out of an item (e.g. Use the last of the milk, run out of butter, notice I'm getting low on bread, etc.), I just tell Alexa to add it to the grocery list. It

You shouldn't trust any drive. Trust in probabilities to protect you. You should be backing up your NAS to either a cloud provider, an external drive (if data will fit), or another NAS. Make sure to locate one copy offsite and pract

Came here to say the same thing. I have an "old" T480 with 32GB of RAM. There is no way I'm buying a new laptop with half the RAM. I just don't get why the memory needle is not moving with manufacturers.

What's the consensus on co-working perks/incentives? Should employers be breaking that out as a reimbursement for expenses or should they just bake it into a salary? I feel like too many individual perks/incentives suddenly

Yes. You'll need to install the optional plugin for it. Then you can create and edit tiddlers in markdown syntax.

Thirded. I got mine 1.5 years ago and I love it as much as the first day I got it. The T480 running Ubuntu really hit a sweet spot for me. I could get 32GB of memory (double the memory of other developer laptop options) and it has hot-swa

That's great to hear. Maybe everyone complaining loudly about that got them to redesign it. I completely ruled out getting an XPS previously because of that design decision.

Maybe Slate is correct, but if they are attacking Vanity Fair for a lack of evidence I would expect them to provide something substantial to prove them "patently false". Spoiler alert they didn't and neither has the CME.

The labeling algorithm is just a relatively naive example. More complex "neutral" algorithms can be designed. Mitigations for abuse that are "neutral" themselves may be added before/after initial implementation.
