I tried out Threads during its initial rollout and after seeing Gary V and some brands being insufferable on there, I knew it was DOA. They were trying to desperately to make it a thing.

With all due respect, if you want to build accessible components, you cannot rely on JS commands alone. I've been down this road and ended up writing JS commands combined with JS Hooks for just about every component to get what I actua

Thanks. I took a cursory look and they just don't seem as high quality as something like shadcn/ui (built on Radix UI) or Tailwind's upcoming Catalyst. For example, on Moon, the dropdown arrow support seems broken and it does

The main issue with Phoenix on the front-end is all the great component libraries target React. Developing accessible, battle-tested components (even a simple dropdown is much more involved than you think) is extremely hard and can drain a

Is it theft or art? I listened to some AI-generated Eminem verses and they were pretty good, but I processed it differently--more as a novelty/fan-made type of thing. The authentic version will always be better.

I'm torn. While I think there are benefits to working from home -- no time wasted on a commute, more quiet, less stress -- it's a little bit unfair to those who must work on-site by necessity. There's also a social aspect of

I feel like this is the most selfish thing ever. The only reason you're here enjoying these dopamine outlets is because someone decided to bring you into the world. We should pay it forward. Quite a few of my liberal friends are childl

Usually this happens due to political ideology. People will condone things that benefit their tribe.

It's gotten to the point that I cook at home because the quality does not match the price anymore. And I'm lazy and work a comfy tech job, so you know it's gotten bad. Paid over $8 today for a slice of cheese pizza (regular s

I can't think of any competitors in the same space. Maybe they exist, but they're terrible at advertising. Hotels aren't the same industry. Completely different experience.

That's gratuitous and done for spite only. I really don't want to do business with a company that seeks revenge because of internal political activism. It's gross. Within their legal rights as it stands today, but gross nonet

Wouldn't this also be the case if you sold your primary domain? History would potentially be rewritten by the new owner. I think it's just a general problem with link decay.

I agree that people need to learn to combine them (add a little butter, too!). I like both variations, honestly. With most things, it's not either or, and there are different taste profiles. It's like variations on pizza where the

I've had similar situations when asking it to write code. It comes up with really good solutions, importing the correct open source projects, but some of the modules/classes don't exist--or at least, I can't find them an

Defi can help. There are still issues with contract vulnerabilities, but I don't think you can get away with the same level of fraud as you can on a CEX, where there's far less transparency.

Yeah, people have different roles and talents. The face of the company does get most of the praise and fame, but that's true of nearly every organization I can think of.

Yes, it's all about the dopamine hit from getting engagement. I'm guilty of it--sitting there thinking of a sharp reply to get people riled up. You'd think positive engagement would give the biggest boost, but it's actua

That's a very callous attitude, especially for people who have put a lot into their property. Being forced out due to taxation is no choice at all.

Not if you're retired on fixed income. My parents' property taxes kept going up year after year in upstate NY -- one of the deciding factors when they moved. It's a shame because my dad put so much into that property.

I think it was to distance these APIs from the complexities of SOAP. I think modern JSON-based APIs are somewhat RESTful--mostly in URL structure and using the basic HTTP verbs and response codes, but that's where it basically ends.
