Exactly. And this is what clients can provide over generic, one-size-fits-all solutions: fluent, idiomatic, and terse access to APIs.

While I understand the allure of writing specs and using a unified library, good API clients are more terse, as they're written to take advantage of the programming language you're using, and understand the particulars and idioms of the API

tptacek was giving a reason for why he voted for Obama. I was arguing that it's a poor reason. It's a digression, I'll give you that.

Fight for public schools? Public schools are indoctrination centers where you graduate without any meaningful job skills. Why? So young people can't compete with adults in the job market, and are then forced to go into massive debt for coll

You stopped watching when he brought out a poverty graph? Did you think the data was wrong? He wasn't arguing about the elderly's poverty rate. It's not relevant to the video.

> I think the US law here is dumb, but it's the law. It is what it is, huh? 'It's the law' is a dose of propaganda so you don't feel bad about being forced to do something stupid. A legal collision sounds so polite. To me, this resemble

I will definitely take a look at the site. I wouldn't want to ignore information based on my own bias. I see the appeal of what you're saying, and I'm indeed concerned with private coercive power; however, explaining the "how" behind a free

Morally you are not obligated to pay taxes. Forced taxation (redundant) violates the non-aggression principle. Forget the propaganda you hear; taxation is theft, regardless of the perceived benefits or ex post facto justification for the th

I agree with you, but I don't know how much credit she'd receive for merely trying to eliminate law. We wouldn't need this massive, inconsistent, vague, and convoluted law system if we just followed a few fundamental moral principles. An an

If Facebook removed all privacy controls, people would leave the social network in droves, and FB would be forced change their policy. Consumers are fickle, and FB is not an unstoppable juggernaut; I'm not sure why people have this idea.

Government is accountable to "the people"? That's just a platitude. The government is beholden to many special interests. The bailouts, the wars--home & abroad--, the TSA, etc. are all egregious examples. Facebook is accountable to shar
