I prefer learning this way also, so I wrote something sort of similar for Vimscript a while back. The # of people that ever need to use vimscript is low, but it's out there for people to get their feet wet. http://andrewsca

Personally I like the limited "editing" capabilities of vine, where you hold a button and "fill up" part of the 6 seconds of video. It creates some really interesting possibilities that this simply won't have. This

You must admit, 24 hour online check was pretty bad. Also they said that they're removing region restriction on games, which is another thing that people (including myself) were complaining about.

I have a guess as to why that's the case: There is a sort of social pressure regarding the number of friends on facebook vs the number of actual friends you have. Adding strangers on facebook is sort of taboo in that it looks like you're j

I found a great site that has improved my life: 750words.com Forces you to write 750 words every day. It can be nonsense, it can be a story, or it can be like a diary. It's helped me structure my thoughts a lot.

The Verizon plan is actually listed incorrectly. If you have a smartphone you have to pay an extra $40 for "line access", which brings Verizon to a whopping $100/mo.

I think that's part of the charm of the story. There's really no definitive answer to your questions and it's up to the reader to arrive at his own conclusions

Each plugin resides in it's own directory, rather than being scattered around your .vim dir. Try to remove one of your installed plugins, you'll have to dig around and it'll be messy. Also it makes it easier to update, since all you need t

Cool advice, I'm gonna try tossing my Model M in the dishwasher this weekend. Also I totally get your Model M love, I think it'll always be my preferred keyboard. What a great piece of hardware.

The obviously bad part is that you pollute the global namespace for no reason other than laziness. When someone comes across code that uses a "Table" object interchangeably with "Dictionary" and "Hash", then he's going to have to look throu

Well in this case, the author of the article was praising (as an advantage) a TA feature that was also available in Vim (albeit via a plugin). I would like to see articles like this demonstrate things that simply aren't possible in Vim (or
