OP was saying the LGBTQ charity that gave scholarships to students was elitist because it incorporated criteria like leadership and performance in addition to financial need. That's what I responded to. I did not comment on whether Mac

You're interpreting incorrectly. I never used the word "more" in my response. My points are: (a) "merit based" scholarships are not everywhere. The vast majority are financial need based - which is not a bad thing.

> it's a foundation to fund elitism This is a complete false dichotomy. You appear to be arguing that either an organization funds highly underprivileged or homeless youth from "bad schools" or they're funding elitism

That's like starting Game of Thrones at Season 7. It's not just "starting in the middle of a series", it's starting almost at the end...after the best part of the story is well in the rear-view mirror. IIRC, Foundat

Why are you throwing out numbers like that while complaining about other people's unsourced information? You are also using a strawman argument. I said people should focus on areas of great impact, not "nobody has to do anything.&

First, the primary use case of rockets (especially SpaceX) is satellite lift and ultimately Moon and Mars landing, not "wealthy tourists." Obviously the recent Inspiration4 launch shows that there will be tourist flights, but this

Irritatingly, an article that bemoans a homogenous view based on race repeatedly views members of a particular political leaning as ideologically homogenous.

Flipping this around, put yourself in this situation: you have five open positions, and expect 300 applicants. You have approximately 1 hour per day to interview, and need to fill the positions in 10-15 business days. You would like to find
