Independent of the Epic Vs Apple debate, I’m merely stating that it’s somewhat hypocritical to claim someone is ideologically open while at the same time they take actions to lock down purchases to the Epic platform only.

That might be very frustrating as a developer, but considering the amount of malware distributed on the Chrome Webstore this review process makes me want to use Firefox more.

No, that's the thing Roam is pretty frictionless. It's web-based, no setup needed and isn't Roam-lite, or Roam-ish with some caveats around UI or functionality.

Seems nice but a bit fiddly and lacking backlinks, after trying numerous clones of Roam Research this finally convinced me to just commit to Roam and stop trying these things out, maybe one of these solutions will eventually be just frictio

I rarely wish my personal life was more like work. If you have longer term ambitions approach it as a form of play, not obligation, you'll probably be more likely stick to it.
