Where are the specs of the offering? I couldn't find information on the maximum DB size, maximum number of connections, network throughput, datacenter locations and other basic information. The screenshot on the homepage clearly shows

You might want to slow down on hiring, more people doesn't equal to solving the problem faster or better. It could be better to queue new sign ups to your service for a while, even if it's painful.

Most people only use etcd at small scale. If you try to store 10 or even 100GB in etcd you are going to run into uncommon problems. Most people don't even know that the Kubernetes control plane by default has a hard limit on etcd size.

You aren't going to write 100k lines of shell scripts but you might reach this amount of code in JS projects so we should rightfully hold the language to a higher standard. Shell scripts are just glue and unless they get huge they are

Maybe that is what Fly had in mind: That some company like Upstash would bring "managed" serverless Postgres to their platform. Unless somebody natively implements clustering in Postgres I don't see that happening anytime soo

If I was in their shoes I'd probably aim for a "serverless" Postgres experience where you get a connection string and you know nothing else. I think RDS, Crunchy, Aiven and others aren't quite there yet.

Because inflation affects products which you have to buy to survive, like food, electricity and gas. And if you only look at gas its 90% vs 2020. A lot of people need their car to get to work.
