I'm honestly shocked by the amount of restrictions some parents in this thread enforce. I had unlimited access to a PC since I was about 10 (no Internet until I was 16). 3 years later I knew the operating system inside out because of c

I get much better framerate on Yuzu, it's almost locked at 60fps - on Ryujin I only get 20-30fps with some lag here and there.

Most Switch games don't run at 60fps in docked mode because they can't nearly hit the framerate at 1080p. The Switch has dynamic resolution scaling but it still lags. For this reason many games only run at 60fps in handheld mode.

A lot of games on the Mega Drive / Genesis didn't properly adjust their speed for PAL/NTSC, for example Sonic 1. They'd just run slower/faster according to VDP clock.

It doesn't look growing to me, order volume has been flat for the last 6 quarters. I'm not sure how much more they can grow per order profit.

Unfortunately it just leads to more ads. 20 years ago we had way fewer ads on typical sites, today you can hardly find the text in between the ads on your average news site.

“click fraud”? That is very very far fetched. I’m just following links your website serves me. If you don’t like it you don’t have to serve your ads to me.

There are many possible solutions. The first would be for the government to behave like a normal investor: Give money for stock or give a loan instead of writing blank cheques. The blank cheque at least could have disallowed any sort of pat

Hydroponic salads would be the counter-example which you can already buy today. I prefer them because I get much more consistent quality, less risk of contamination, less pesticides (think antibiotics in the case of meat), less water and so

It was actually 5x in 4 years (1.5x per year). As you said we see 20-30% at best. And several important workloads have important slowdowns (for example coveragepy runs 30-50% slower). The GIL is an academic problem which has little real wor
