uYouPlus (sideloading required) Works without a jailbreak, you just have to refresh the app every 7 days but thats pretty much automated these days.

I suppose that they are saying that CockroachDB is a single binary which you just drop on a machine and you are good to go. For ScyllaDB you need to install Java, Python and several ScyllaDB related packages.

SUSE makes money by selling enterprise support. They don't care what they support, they have sold support for RHEL for a very long time. The SUSE distro exists so that they can sell support for it. And it will be the same for the SUSE

As an engineer I don't care. In my career I have worked on SunOS, SLES, Debian, Ubuntu, RHEL, CentOS, Alpine and probably more. I prefer something that is kept reasonably up to date so that I don't have to fight ancient long-fixed

And the healthcare providers make it hard to even see their prices up front. It's like going into a grocery store without price tags. You can't really compare prices.

It's hit and miss. Sometimes I get almost no improvement and sometimes I get 10x. But the slow warmup and up to 3x memory use (in my experience) really make me prefer CPython unless I have a very specific problem.

It can be a psychological trick you are playing on yourself by just putting it out there in public. Lots of people now know about it so you don't want to let them down by misstepping again. In a way it's a form of holding yourself

I was playing with the API and found that it returned better answers than ChatGPT. ChatGPT isn't even able to solve simple Python problems anymore, even if you try to help it. And some time ago it did these same problems with ease. My

My guess is that a certain router is getting infected with a botnet because ISPs usually hand out the same router to their customers. And ISPs are usually limited to a single country.

It is unlikely that a system with the scale of Twitter implements the API rate limiter in the backend. Usually you'd do this as early as possible together with other WAF stuff. If IPs or IP ranges get really annoying we block them on t

This bug is very unlikely to be the reason. The rate limiter on the server side is cheap and the frontend bug only gets triggered with the rate limit active. I have seen similar bugs in the systems I oversee because network libraries love t

The IP space in China is wild, multiple ISPs use the same IP ranges and some even use foreign IP space but they don't route them outside of China. I wouldn't be at all surprised seeing proxy setups at ISPs trying to "fix"

Cloudflare also depends on investor money, they haven't made a profit ever and continue to just throw stuff at the wall to grow. At some point in time they'll have to start thinking about profitability.

Do they only block 127.0.0.1? If this truly is a security improvement I would like to see an explanation why they don't block 127.0.0.0/8 instead.
