You're correct. I didn't even notice the typo until now!

To be honest, I still don't understand the appeal of this product. I've always got a "one-time quick-cash hustle" video out of it and I can't trust it.

If four (4) of the signatories can't prove the allegations, how will five (4+1) be able to do so?

That's a nice find! I didn't know what the process for determining fines works.

I would love to know what % of gains from selling PII are the fines. The MO of breaking the law and paying the fines is never going to change with these laughable fines.

If you had read it, you would know it has nothing to do with content moderation but with the rewards-based activity system.

I don't believe Apple is just going the loss quietly. I wonder what's the next gross anti-competitive idea they'll come up with to rollback things to what they were before DMA.

Sadly, an Antitrust case against Microsoft (under Nadella's crapware reign) is less likely to happen while the DOJ is busy with Apple.

It seems more systematic of American companies past few years and the trend of small fines for egregiously gross violations.

We need amazing graphics card drivers and native AAA games support in Linux so Windows can finally die. The stuff Nadella is doing is just gross.

I wonder myself what was the thought process to charge it as a felony.

I always thought Epic wanted to push Apple's button until they showed their true face which, by the way, it seems to have worked wonders on EU upon DMA.

Apple so focused on a walled garden in this time and age is going be their undoing.

People like this that don't bat an eye to dehumanize, shouldn't be anyone's elected representatives.

I also wonder what's point of PWAs _only_ supported in WebKit. It feels like they trying to keep playing cat and mouse.

I truly wonder whether anyone will ultimately go to prison for all the copyrights infringements surrounding OpenAI. Unless being a CEO in the US gives you a free get-out-of-jail card.

Honestly, they don't care. Apple is using this as a chance to spin the public opinion against DMA — which it's hurting their walled garden — to kill a feature they never wanted. It was confirmed in another thread they killed PWAs

The US companies thinking the EU needs to bow down to them is what's bonkers.

I wouldn't even be surprised if they end up with a product ban in the EU.

I had a terrible time when someone used "smart quotes" (beautified Office quotation marks) in a configuration file. I believe this was only possible because they copied it from Outlook.

Am I the only one that finds a sorted-by-time front-page more fascinating than custom styling? I have been browsing via https://hckrnews.com/ for years now.
