Also too bad both tabs and spaces are usually displaced as the same whitespace, which is a problem for humans. This, too, can be fixed in most editors.

Won't they do with decentralized chat what they did with XMPP?: integrate support for a while to keep users from getting away and then drop that support again when the time is right?

It depends and is a matter of taste. I'm very much a Common Lisp afficionado but I've come to dislike embedding HTML in code like this (also due to experiences in other languages). It's not error prone maybe even less so sin

Do the shots include oceans and seas as well and would ships be visible on those shots? I'm asking because Sea Shepherd could not continue an anti-whaling campaign because they were technologically overmatched: http://www.th

So as not to scare people potentially interested in Common Lisp away, you can play around with it using just: - SBCL (or whatever Common Lisp implementation you can get your hands on) - a text editor - (maybe rlwrap)

Like bad actors in the internet ad industry (not sure if any good ones are left) giving people a good reason to run adblockers, they just did the same for the game industry. Although I'm not sure what people are going to do. Run pirat

I recently had to use Go for the first time at work, while generally Common Lisp is my go-to language. I kinda liked it for a systems language. It has conveniences trickled down from higher level languages[1] that are missing from C &

I've tried the Boogie Board Sync in the past and it really is write-only. The price is nice and they're honest about its features. Still, I really missed not being able to page through earlier notes. Also, the feel of writing on

Could you elaborate on Org mode's excellent mobile support? Are you talking iPhone, Android or both? I've only got experience with Android and MobileOrg is a pain in the ass to setup and sync. The workflow is a hassle. Orgzly loo

I've been using fish for years but I never write scripts in it. What's the point? There's sh which is the most portable. Why write scripts in anything else but an actual programming language when things get more complex?

Does anyone know if you can actually write code on Emacs, like HTML/CSS/Javascript? Do you mean modifying Emacs while it is running? If you switch to the " * scratch * "[1] buffer and type one of these and after e
