This is very cool but it's not quite what I expected out of economic primitives. I expected to see measures of the economic productivity generated as a result of artificial intelligence use. Instead, what I'm seeing is measures of

I for one host several Astro sites on Cloudflare Pages. Its quite a nice DX actually. I could see Cloudflare just wanting to push for a bit more vertical integration in the space to give themselves some more options.

Is this really where we are at now for analysis? You get some anecdotal evidence and immediately post a hot take claiming to have discovered a new invariant? I guess a bunch of us, including myself have taken the engagement bait here but do

I'm not sure it's that uncharitable... The original quote was apparently said without an understanding of the customer base as if ad blockers were not a core piece of their value proposition. This person doesn't understand th

Honestly? I usually look at the previous implementation and try to make some changes to fix an issue that I discovered during testing. Rarely an actual bug - usually we just changed our mind about what the intent should be.

This smells like a Principia Mathematica take to me... Reducing the problem to "ya just create a specification to formally verify" doesn't move the needle enough to me. When it comes to real-world, pragmatic, boots-on-the-gro

Those are some big numbers. It makes me think of a crazy thought experiment: How many MW could a container ship carry by literally shipping energy stored in batteries? As in they fill up entirely with batteries, sail to a desert, plug into

As with all things, "it depends". Momentum works well so long as you have enough alignment, clarity, and certainty. When you don't know what you're building though, the last thing you want is a heads down project that yo

I mean you're completely correct. But if we treat all companies the same regardless of their behavior, they don't have any incentive to change their behavior. So I'll keep rewarding the good behaviour and punishing the bad.
