It sounds like the multiplayer is implemented in similar way to Fabel 2. A single player game, but if your friends were online you would see a floating orb where ever they were in the world. You could interact through game play as well, tho

The most painful component of Java EE development for me is definitely the JSF side of things. Without building anything substantial with JAX-RX I cant really comment. REST and a rich frontend, JS based would be my choice. The sad truth is

I know it is not the mode to comment to mention your own up vote. Rails might have deteriorated in ease of use, but I cannot imagine it being worse than Java EE was in 2004. Modern Java EE is a world of pain, even simple apps are difficult

Switching tools isn't a problem if you can massage tools to be a similar as possible. I install a vi plugin anywhere I can. Most of the time this bridges my mental gap. There is nothing worse than a half working vi plugin though.

The precedent is in place. Prior to the release of C&C4 EA release the original games for free online. Many different sites have hosted the files, everyone I have seen has had ads.

It is even worse than that. I tried to edit a .tex file yesterday in TextEdit, launching from the command line with open -e. GateKeeper told me that the .tex file wasnt signed and could not be opened. This is a barrier even for very technic

This is a strange reveral of the gnu/linux debate. The linux kernel is not the important component, the windowing system is. I dont want to run X applications on a tablet, I have tried that before with the n700. I want a fully finger friend

This is pretty cool I currently use a lexar 32Gb usb dongle[1] though it does protude from the macbook air. There are also usb drives that fit inside the usb port and does not need a special tool to remove, though I cant find it on amazon a

My 2010 MacBook Air, which is 20 months old according to coconutBattery, still holds a four hour charge. This machine was fine for the final two years of my degree. Hell it can even play Diablo 3 pretty well. I would expect to make a return
