That Grid device looks very cool. What do you connect it to? Like I assume you’re using it with mobile app(s)? What works well?

Very cool! I didn’t know about that. I have been hearing a lot of positive stuff about Bitwig in the electronic music community. Personally I have invested too much time (and money) to switch from Ableton, but if I were starting now, I’d de

Agree with others that the Push is good; I have a Push 2 that I love. It's great for chords and melodies because the layout is massive (8x8). However, it's somewhat expensive (the 2, anyway) and the pads themselves could be better

An alternative is to get a good pad controller. You get a lot out of this beyond just playability (such as knobs — physical knobs are great for experimentation and fast, dynamic changes to things like filters), but it's still something

It's probably because the Dutch diaspora has succeeded in getting their children hooked on stroopwafels (syrup waffles), salt licorice and those amazing dense raisin buns that seem to be approximately 50% raisins... I for one am happy

What a ridiculous comment. You could dismiss any act of goodness with that logic. “We built a shelter for homeless people and are feeding and clothing them.” “You know, the Nazis thought they were doing good things too.” I mean…seriously?

I think I'd like a version of the famous "cloud-to-butt" browser plugin that changes Omicron/COVID/etc. to "common cold". Then headlines like, "The Omicron variant will spread quickly through the U.S.

Check out https://www.hatchbox.io/ , it lets you easily host stuff on various hosting platforms (using your own account) with similar ease to Heroku. Which also means it's WAY cheaper. Heroku's pricing has always s

I was CTO at a company and ended up managing a team of just under 20 developers and although I didn't feel the same way as you do right now, I did absolutely feel that my technical skills were becoming increasingly rusty. The Javascrip

I'm wondering the same thing. We have stuff hosted in us-west-2 and multiple people across the US are reporting that our systems are down, however our system is working fine for me here, which is near Toronto.

The same thing is happening right now with plastic pollution. Plastic waste in the environment breaks down into smaller and smaller particles, eventually forming plastic nanoparticles. These nanoparticles are capable of crossing the blood-b

I agree with you that we have a “unique brand” of intelligence but we’ve gone astray in ascribing a value judgment to that, in my opinion - as in, our brand is the best. Or, our brand is so much better than others that those others are wort

It’s not just the jobs, it’s also the awareness of what we’re doing to the planet and our future. When you get seized by the panicky feeling that we’re on track to end it all, one solution is to say “fuck it” and get drunk. I do it. I’m sur
