It's really sad to me that this is the response we are seeing from CCI. Instead of urging companies to compete with the firms in California and offer a comparable salary, the first reaction is to punish talent for leaving? Totally insa

You could obtain a TN visa under the sci-tech category (which does not require a degree). Before I had my degree this is how I got my first TN. It is a little less straightforward then the Computer Systems Analyst category but it can be don

Love the new API syntax. A lot clearer and less needless information.

TN status/visa can be obtained without a degree but it is a little less straightforward and has a higher chance of denial.

Hit the nail on the head. Until Toronto can match the competitive salaries in the Bay Area I will be working in the US.

Same story for me in SF. Would love to come back to Toronto if companies start compensating fairly.

Hiring should be the sum of a "Skill" score and a "Culture Fit" score. "Diversity" shouldn't be apart of either of these scores. It shouldn't matter what race, religion or color you are.

There is still a ton of objc code in production so it's still very important to be able to work with it. That being said Swift is definitely what you should focus on. Above that, work towards mastering Foundation, UIKit and the other

The issue isn't policy, the issue is companies in Canada are not competitive enough with their salaries.

There are a two things that bother me about your post. 1. You mention you want the "life of luxury" that these "lucky" people enjoy. If you spend your life chasing wealth, you will never feel satisfied. These "lucky

This is why it is a good idea to get your NEXUS. Once you have NEXUS card you don't have to interact with a CBP officer when you pass through customs. You just use the kiosk.

Most of the time I prefer Lyft drivers. They are usually more chill and down to earth. Uber is also a good service but their drivers are less personable and more professional. Both services are great.
