I remember reading about the law going into effect but had never seen the split broken out until last week. I highly doubt the scheduling, summoning, and advertising infra is close to 60% of the cost. I like Uber, I've been a customer

In Colorado, a law went into effect at the beginning of 2025 that showed you how much of the actual fare the driver gets. I took an Uber ride to the airport last week and the total cost was ~$98 before tip, and the drivers share of that was

I disagree. It's all about how you're using them. AI coding assistants make it easy to translate thought to code. So much boilerplate can be given to the assistant to write out while you focus on system design, architecture, etc,

Yeah. Honestly, I don't think I watched a music video in like 15+ years so this is a welcome change for me.

Nice. Def switching over to this, as I've been paying for YouTube Premium but don't use YouTube Music at all (have Apple One Sub and find Apple Music to be way better).

I don't think the issue is necessarily the tool, but rather the execution. I think everybody can agree that improving efficiency is a good thing, and tools to track/improve it are a net benefit, but the way they approached it was

Thanks for sharing. Will def opt out and roll into the class action suits already filed. Take security seriously people. Especially when dealing with super sensitive data.

I question the "making money hand over fist" notion. Aren't the vast majority of SaaS companies burning VC money to stay afloat? Like others have also said, trust plays a key role. Companies usually like to stick with a tool

Would you feel safe driving around in a 1200lb vehicle when most others cars on the road are 4000lb+. I love the idea of smaller vehicles, but big fear is safety of a smaller vehicle vs the monstrosities on the road today.

Very cool. We have something similar at https://videotap.com , although a bit more focused on repurposing your video content into other mediums (written blogs, twitter threads, etc.)

I think their current valuation is held up by the promise of FSD. If it comes to fruition, it would be huge, but (as a beta fsd user) I don't think they will ever deliver on their promise, and as soon as they admit that I expect the st

I think it's possible if for nothing else but the fact that a bot can easily do 10-100x or more visits than a human can on the web.

Personally, I don't get it. It seems like a portable Google Home or Echo device, except that it'll confidently lie to you because it's using an LLM. Why would I get this if I already have a phone, or heck even a smart watch?
