I will join the others saying as me: as someone who has been in the situation of debugging something for hours only to find out the cause is someone's else incompetence, I totally find his tone acceptable. At the same time, MongoDB is a fre

I know I'm parallel-commenting here the guy himself, but seriously, I believe this is just what happens when you either have too much money, are too lazy, or both. I am pretty sure they could have come up with a basic MoBo+GPU+CPU+RAM com

Humorous comment: When I read something like cubic yards I always think I'm reading about some crazy variant of golf. (I am used to the SI)

I do! No maintenance, no security risks, blazing speed, cheap hosting. Seems ideal for a blog you don't update that often, for example.

Is there a way of watching this offline afterwards? I think it could be interesting but I won't be able to participate live.

I expect some hate towards PHP here, so I want to say something. I've been working on some big PHP applications lately and I can say that the language is very much moving away from its past bad reputation. PHP 5.4 is a quite modern language

Well yes, Google does sound a bit silly, but seriously, DuckDuckGo... that's pushing it.

Google is an abstract nonsensical word, so it fits in the whole internet thing. DuckDuckGo sounds childish and stupid, therefore mustn't be very good.

Nice. It's just a collection of background colours for the buttons, though. These don't have any functionality, not even add the icons. But nice eye candy anyway.

This mockups are really selling me the whole Glass thing. So many useful features to be developed! Too bad the API Google released a while ago is so limited.

I love Eurovision. I don't really care for most of the music (some is enjoyable, though), but it's so fun trying to predict who will vote who. Europe is so predictable...

It's the same, as the article clearly states: > What Actions has done is similar to what Samsung will be doing with the “Octa-core” Exynos 5 CPU, which will combine four A15 cores with four A7 cores.

I wasn't aware of that. To be sincere, I also made the mistake of looking too close home. I was mostly talking about the non-English-speaking 'western hemisphere'.

I have to say that, while I haven't looked into the details, this is quite impressive. It runs really smooth on my not-so-great desktop. A good sign that Javascript is no longer the great bottleneck it used to be.

Google lacks customer service. They are not interested in you , but in volume. And you handle volume through statistics. If you happen to fall on an edge case, they won't really care. Because you fall in the error.

Holy shit, basically. I mostly do Python and JS, so this means that now Light Table is pretty much THE editor for me. Huge update. I can only hope for eventual PHP integration so it's useful to me also at work.

As it's been said before, that works just on some locations. For the vast majority of the world (like in, geographically), Google Now is not that accurate or useful.
