> I suspect that it might be different in the USA because I've always heard that things worked the other way around here: rich people live in wealthy suburbs and go everywhere by car while poor people stay stuck in the city centers.

As I said in other comments, you can look at those graphs and see they are relatively static across all generations. That said, what isn't pictured is the shift of the ideologies of the parties themselves, which both have gotten more p

I hear that claim a lot but if you look at the link I posted under the "A wide – and growing – generational divide in partisanship" heading, it doesn't appear to actually be the case. If that were true you'd likely see a

It's not hard to look at the age breakdown for each of the political parties and see this checks out. https://www.people-press.org/2018/03/20/1-trends-in-party-af...

I write a good deal of python and I can't think of a line of code that I would use it for besides the while loop on a non-iterable data source, which is such a once in a blue moon case. As mentioned by others, the operator invites more

My guess is if you did that and pasted "password" you would get "passworq" and then your password would be wrong according to their "encryption" method.

In terms of cool tech, Apple/Google absolutely are a cut above Facebook now in my experience. Microsoft used to be below, now they rose as they embraced more open source and modern tech, I'd probably put Facebook/Microsoft&#x

This is early and really depends on details, but this is a super exciting move and direction for Github. I'm wary of Microsoft ownership as it becomes even more of the home for code than before, but if they keep it true to its roots it

There's two ways it goes: squeeze drivers or squeeze riders. The ironic part of their position is as it makes a market on both sides, squeezing either will result in a loss of riders/drivers to alternatives. This writing has been

There's more details in other subthreads but basically the voice control and speaker aspect. i may just end up spending some time trying to build on these to make an end to end solution myself (if I ever find the time that is).

Forgive my laziness, but how does this play with third parties and where is it on the NLP/hardware front? As much as I love the idea of going open source, the practicalities right now is using Google/Spotify/Weather/Netf

Smart homes are indeed mostly build out of supporting laziness, but there are ways to avoid some of these problems. If you've already sold your soul and have a home device with speech control, it's actually pretty easy to go and g

An easy solution to that is simply not to start at zero/one and pick a random number somewhere around 5-6 digits. Can do that at the database level or programatically.
