If you as a company have a HR department then complaining about unions is very hypocritical.

Expand your network. Expand your bubble. Find real people. Ask them questions. Work out what they need. Provide it either directly or indirectly. I’m still working and learning about this approach. My contract work is often “deliver this th

Which part?

Not the only one. Work for yourself on short contracts with others. I’m very suspicious of people who say they work more than 40 hours per week. I wonder about how many hours are high productivity and how many are wasted or low intensity.

Applying Occam’s razor to Intel ME and similar security issues: conspiracy with some evil agency is possible. Maybe. But not the only explanation. Following the money suggests Intel was chasing an enterprise market and didn’t bother to thin

Plenty more security vulnerabilities in Intel ME to be found. It’s now a well known attack surface full of goodies to plunder. I’m sure AMD and ARM have similar excitement in store. This is in addition to what has already been found.

This has been true for the last 4 decades. Most news is designed to make you angry, afraid or sometimes happy. Mostly manipulation and deception. Even the news cycle is nonsense. You probably won’t remember what happened 2 years ago on a ra

Most of the friendzone is people not making their intentions clear. I agree with the “just friends” thing however. Just be careful you aren’t wanting more and stay in orbit around her. A lot of men do have the fear of approaching women so I

Simple does not imply easy. Go forth into the world and find someone. Expect failure. She may find fault in you. You may find fault in her. Evaluate her as much as she evaluates you. Evaluate your approach, how you speak etc. You’ll need to

Aim higher. And a bit to the right. Breathe. Everyone who is “normal” has quirks. If you don’t see any then you haven’t looked closely enough.

A lot of animals (including us) have a common ancestor. That animal had dominance hierarchy characteristics. So pecking orders were already in our ancestors well before we even became anything like us.

Given how I’ve been treated by various corporations, I’d say that plenty of companies consider workers as “a valuable item that is owned”. I had a clause in one contract they tried to insert that stated I was not allowed to work in any comp
