The Mughals were not colonizers. The definition of a colony is: "country or area under the full or partial political control of another country". The Mughals were ousted from Central Asia; India was the only country they ruled. So

You do need to learn _a_ way to generate document. I don't see how the JS method is easier than, say, using a ConTeXt Lua Document (CLD). I'd really like to compare samples.

Just looked at the sample on the playground section of the website. No hyphenation, no ligatures, and overall the output looks ugly (compared to TeX). What is the advantage over simply creating an appropriate LaTeX/ConTeXt document in

Growing up in India (different places in north India), I never saw a purple carrot, or a carrot of any color other than orange. I have only seen them in USA and Canada (not lived in Europe, so didn't know about it).

For anyone interested in how the solution is derived, one alternative is to use dynamic programming. For example, see these lecture notes: http://www.cim.mcgill.ca/~decinfo/courses/ecse506/winter-201...

Don't know about the GP, but I have an iRex DR1000 ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Reader_1000 ) which was perfectly sized for reading A4/letter papers. But it is bulky and has no wireless connectivity.

For most people in academia, the incentive to work hard is not the fear to get fired, but the intrinsic satisfaction of working on a certain class of problems. Tenure does not take that intrinsic value away.

Have a look at ConTeX (www.contextgarden.net). It is a TeX macro package, just like LaTeX. But it is a MUCH more consistent syntax, heavily relies on LuaTeX, and can generate XML output (for webpage and epub) as well.
