This sounds similar to my experience with Microsoft based email (Outlook, Hotmail, Live, custom 365 domains) I eventually decided to route Microsoft hosted emails over Amazon SES instead of a VPS hosted Postfix setup. This did help a bit.

If enough developers start removing features for Safari this could actually have an impact. I would consider this even if it would harm the bottom line of my business. Simply because it removes stress and frustration in the development proc

What I find more interesting than the rumors detailed in the article is the timing of publication. Crypto markets are moved by fud and fomo, to me the timing is no coincidence.

No, I didn't. Not sure this is possible in the Netherlands. I had an hour long Teams call for them to know what data they could request. After the formal request came in it took a good part of the day to get everything they requested.

I recently had to hand-over a ton of data for a police investigation. The data had to come from off-site backups, I had to write manual SQL queries because of unique data requests that required cross references. All in all a lot of work tha

This has indeed been predicted by various experts but almost completely ignored. As seen in the comment below the strategy now is to blame those who are critical of our single minded vaccination strategy.

Having a co-founder / partner is absolutely paramount in getting the execution right. I can't thank my wife often enough for dragging me screaming through the final stages of finishing my current company. I love coding, but writin

For API backends mostly Express + postgraphile (basic CRUD operations) + socket.io (realtime features). Currently exploring Prisma 2 as replacement for Knex.js (query builder). Knex.js does everything I need except having automatic TypeScri

I've been writing my backends in TypeScript for years now. This after having written C#, Java, Python and PHP backends. Dabbled a bit in Go but settled on Node.js / TypeScript. It may not be perfect, but sharing interfaces and cod

Samsung Internet is an outstanding browser on Android. Pinch to zoom on almost any site, build in QR scanner, but perhaps most importantly, the ability to use an ad block extension.

Absolutely, always consider potential bias and motivation when searching and judging content. I probably censor search results myself in the form of selective link-result clicking and phrasing of search queries :-)

Try searching for "possible negative long term effect of mrna vaccines". Google will show lists of fact-check sites, WHO approved all pro-vaccine results. Yandex will show alternative sites like childrenshealthdefense.org, www.nat

That is indeed a well known tactic. In the same way as critics of mass vaccinating a global population with an experimental vaccine are lumped together with anti-vaxxers who believe in a nanobot spiked mRNA vaccine by Bill Gates.

"including losses greater than the staked amount" I don't think this is true. Binance will happily liquidate you well in advance of a possible negative balance.

I think having an open, equal opportunity platform not policed by any specific vendor is a good thing. It could pave the way for a mobile OS like Mozilla envisioned with the discontinued Firefox OS. There is of course this massive influence

I'm in the market for a new laptop, but can't get myself to buy an Apple laptop despite some nice innovation on the CPU front. The lock-in, the dragging their feed and outright stalling web innovation with Safari, the “Sideloading

This has also hit me hard when it opened up Mailcow's not open relay protected internal network. Creating an open relay, and almost getting me banned by Hetzner. I try to avoid Docker when not absolutely necessary just to keep my stack

You are correct about time to market, but in my experience the more a framework does for you, the more friction it will give when you have market validation and need to build out. Keep it simple, use something like next.js, postgres, perhap

1: Trying to fix every vulnerability in any nested dependency is probably not what you want to do. In my experience only a tiny fraction has an attack surface and most are duplicates. 2: Webpack is a monster and updating webpack will alway

Npm together with the ergonomics of JavaScript/TypeScript is what keeps me in the Node.js ecosystem. Never understood the hate for a massive ecosystem of community build libraries that you can contribute to, fork or modify at will.

Could it be that you have more knowledge of Swift and don't care/want to invest in understanding Node.js/JavaScript? I really enjoy writing backend code in TypeScript for Node.js. But loath having to write Swift code for iOS.
