Perhaps this is the issue, having a legal system that you can opt out of. Sounds godawful.

Very strangely enough, the original 2D keyboard still exists in the OS. If you have one of those old silver Apple remotes from the Apple TV 1/2/3, clicking anywhere replaces the crappy long keyboard with the nicer grid one. Very b

Yes it can work but its a cat and mouse game. Not to mention, prevention is better than cure, this is indeed a cancer.

They retrospectively updated panels going back to 2016 to "improve" the experience. Truly evil shit.

Until I see the United States with my own two eyes, I will continue believing it’s a made up place / simulation that tests the absolute dead limits you can push capitalism to without starting a revolution

I'm glad you're not FAANG then. When there's a dispute, you work through it rather than take your bat and ball home.

When I started my career I'd always hear old greybeards talk about "oh this one time.. some certain thing happened, and everyone learnt a lesson" and I feel like I just witnessed one of those come into existence

The MSY case was nothing short of incredible to watch go down. They were required to put a massive notice on their websites landing page about it too. From memory, they tried to hide it or make it tiny to view and ACCC came back and went &q

My personal anecdote: I’m parked over on the side of the road because my carplay habits of Spotify and Waze both kept crashing to the dashboard. I couldn’t help but notice neither app worked even after a reboot, yet google maps did. I was t

Interestingly over here in Australia, those who went with Amazon AU left for different reasons; mainly that the platform just doesn't attract much sales volume and the costs were astronomical. Even eBay does better here. At the company

I think if you look at the pricing for github actions minutes, you'd gather an extremely rough idea of what they feel is a fair price for docker hosting. Maybe add some buffer to make the VS Code investment worth it, etc.

I feel like even with one-line fixes, having the tests run before committing (to see the CI/CD results instead) would give people a lot more confidence in making those changes. Personally speaking, I'd be worried that I end up mak

I often wonder if it’s because they know you’ll have a healthy work/life balance and say no to ridiculous “we’re all in this together” pressures to work well past what’s in your contract, and hence aren’t as attractive for them to prom

This is highly amusing. One of the first things it found was a publicly accessible oracle db. Second thing it found was someone attempting to make an authoritative repo on standards for django, which included this all-too-familiar line in s

As someone who makes a living with react, I'd still turn to webflow if I had to throw together a quick design or help a friend out. Just feels way quicker and wysiwyg than doing it all by hand. Cheers for building such a nice product,

I’d argue that it’s quite on topic being a post about the skills developers lack. It seems this developer doesn’t regard a11y as an important skill, which is unfortunate or perhaps just an oversight.

Kinda frustrating that an article calling out where programmers fall short was a non-responsive document that was almost unreadable on mobile. Mildly ironic?
