One really useful application is better digital zoom. I've definitely found I wanted to crop or zoom an image on my smartphone to frame a distant subject, but the resolution of my camera becomes apparent when I do it.

I can see the same thing happening over here in the UK. Me and my partner left London to move to a smaller city Scotland, we now pay 60% of the rent for a place that's twice as big. I still freelance for clients in London and can funne

This definitely seems like it's true. I wonder if there have been any reputable studies or surveys on how much time office employees waste on average like this?

This is actually not always reliable, many larger institutions are able to re-enable the DD and continue charging you. I had this with my council tax after I moved out and cancelled it from my end. There are many complaints about the same b

I took the comment as referring to hosting just a git repo on a public server. If you are working on a private project a simple option is to get a cheap VPS, give all your developers user accounts, and clone the repo into a shared folder. E

I could see them in amsterdam, the place is covered in bikes and bike lanes and these type of scooters could easily mix in with that. They travel at a similar speed and can be left against some railings (or dumped in a canal) just like a bi

I think there's some truth in that. If you're dating you should definitely be putting your best foot forward and part of that means exercising, buying some nice clothes, getting your hair cut etc. When I was dating I also made an

While divorce rates may be around 55% and if, for the sake of argument, the total percentage of unhappy marriages is 30% (although combining lack of sex with domestic abuse is a strange categorisation to me) don't you think a lot of th

Note that in many countries, the UK for example, you can vote and get a passport if you have a criminal record. I think it makes sense that this verdict was delivered in Europe where it seems the view on ex-convicts is a bit more generous t

I think this is absolutely spot on. So many people put their programming expertise or productivity down to some innate quality (that is apparently overabundant in white men). To me it seems nearly every one of those rockstar ninjas has also

I would love to read some accessible information on this - how the models can be so trustworthy. I sort of reluctantly accept climate change, and I generally support environmentally positive politics, for a host of reasons. But when I see g

Of course, you forgot the sixth rule: > Break any of these rules sooner than say anything outright barbarous. So perhaps you could cut out the insults and bad language, it's only advice after all.
