I thought 99 Ranch would be the grocer that “sparked an Asian American revolution” as the article suggests. 99 Ranch started expanding back in the 80s and had a lot of what the author mentioned.

I read somewhere that because people don't live that long, we don't have a collective memory of previous disasters or pandemics (anyone who was alive today during the 1918 pandemic wouldn't really remember it), so human histo

I’ve thought about this while cycling to work that I’m inhaling a bunch of exhaust, but with the push to EVs will this no longer be an issue? Dust and particulates that settle on asphalt will still be a problem though.

San Jose, California does this for the Lick Observatory at Mt. Hamilton, although I think they're switching to blueish LEDs. The sodium-vapor lights are frequently mistaken as yellow traffic lights though, in my experience.

Even in the Bay Area, the Lincoln Ave road diet in Willow Glen (San Jose) was severely divided, and I considered the Bay Area to be way more bike friendly than other regions in America. https://www.mercurynews.com/2015/

Don't forget the active recreational cyclists ("middle aged man in lycra", or MAMIL) who only cycle on the weekends. The city planner in the LA suburb I was referencing said that the councilmen were all weekend cyclists, so d

There's a demonization of cyclists in general if you live in an American city. Until this stigma goes away, which will usher in infrastructure and mentality changes, this will not occur. City councils believe cycling is recreational, n

There’s also Clarion, whose platform is intended to generate code for you and you input your own custom programming and business logic if needed for a basic B2B CRUD desktop app. I guess like history, SW dev trends also rhyme.

I was wondering if this would be a solution to the privacy issue that surrounds 23andMe. I would gladly pay a significant amount above $99 (or whatever 23andMe charges) for an offline version of DNA insights.
