How would you advise someone learn frontend development with React? The React docs are phenomenal, but they're just docs. I'm looking for something more structured, but most of the books I've found seem kinda cobbled together

I think most people can intuit it, they just don't have the FP lingo. I still don't understand what a newcomer would expect that piece of code to do.

That's a not a call to setState within the render function though, that's a declaration of an effect that sets state. Reference != call.

The idea of pure functions deriving UI from state is the single central idea of React's worldview. The docs work extra hard to get this model of apps into your brain. This is not the same thing as people being elitist about Git, this i

``` The quickest obstacle you’ll run into as someone new to React will be something like this function MyComponent() { const [num, setNumber] = useState(42); // infinite loop setNumber(n => n + 1); return <div>
I won't do anything that requires more time from me than it does for them, simple as that. If they think it's worth it to waste 10-20 man hours for a day on sites, that's concerning but not disqualifying.
I had this happen in 2018 and had no trouble getting my account back. The support agent requested pictures of me with documents -- front of credit card used as payment method + passport -- and then disabled 2FA on my account.
On the topic of job hopping: I'm on my fourth job in four years. First company was a startup that went under, other two I immediately realized I wasn't a good fit but I stayed for about a year each, gave it my all, then resigned w
