Hah, yes, I've unironically used https://github.com/kzk/unicorn-worker-killer in production before. ~900 stars on Github...

It'd be funny if they ended up with bugs in their systems that only show up if the systems aren't turned off often enough.

It sounds like we’re aligned that that subreddit is in danger because of its political opinions, not its communication style? Which is exactly counter to Yishan’s claims.

Fair enough. I’m hesitant to name the subreddit because mentions of it only hasten its decline. Sorry for keeping it vague. The communities loves to write endless heapings of words, so I’m sure if and when it is banned, much ink will be spi

I think Yishan wrong, at least in the case of Reddit. > They would like you to stop squabbling over stupid shit and causing drama so that they can spend their time writing more features and having to adjudicate your stupid little fights.

(Whether it's a good idea or not,) people often use stars as a quick-and-dirty proxy for "is this repo reasonably well trusted?" and "how big is the community for this project?". All else being equal, many people wo

I believe the type you're looking for is `[]` (a tuple with no elements) instead of `never[]`. https://www.typescriptlang.org/play?#code/CYUwxgNghgTiAEYD2A...

Not blocking on typecheck failures is one of my favorite features of TypeScript -- you can rapidly test/debug/iterate on code with "broken" or incomplete types while in the prototyping stages of feature development.

That would only be true if it were 380 _unique_ contacts per person. Surely there is significant overlap from user to user.

You sound overly dismissive and uncharitable. There are many opportunities that occur when one doesn’t need to turn every conversation into a 30 min video call. As one example, my office (like many others) provides lunch.

I’d maybe get 1-2 hours of semi-productive time per day in. Write code 1 or 2 times per week. Honestly, I was pretty shocked at how I could get away with that and it was very demotivating to not have any reason to do more. Now I’m firing on
