In a way, I owe my current job at Replay.io (a time-traveling debugger for JS) to having spent years maintaining the Redux JS state management libraries. I got involved with Redux at the start of 2016, and Dan Abramov handed me the maintain

Are you asking about how the React library and TypeScript tools _themselves_ are built and published? Or about how to build _apps_ that use React and TS code inside?

Afraid not, sorry. The recording and debugging process is the same whether it's an end user or QA submitting a report, or a dev making the recording yourself. All recordings have to be uploaded in order for our backend to do the repla

Replay takes data privacy seriously. Recordings can be shared, but you control who has access to them, and we need to know who owns each recording. Our user accounts are currently based on Google auth, so you have to log in before recordi

Thanks! Yeah, the browser runtime team is doing incredible work to make this possible, backend has made great progress speeding up requests and improving scaling, and us frontend folks are getting to build on top of that. We're not cur

We might be able to replay the app as a whole, but we don't currently support debugging workers that I know of. I know we don't support recording WebGL at the moment, and there's probably a couple similar recording limitatio

Replay's founders originally worked as engineers on the Firefox DevTools (and in fact our debugger client UI started as a fork of the FF Devtools codebase, although at this point we've rewritten basically every single feature over

I'm going to put in a very relevant self-plug for the tool that I work on. I work at Replay.io, and we're building a true "time traveling debugger" for JS. Our app is meant to help simplify debugging scenarios by making

There's other improvements too. Anecdotally I've seen Yarn 2+ install faster than Yarn 1. The UI output is more informative. The workspace behavior has been pretty solid. The "install Yarn 1 globally, Yarn 2+ per-repo&quo

I'm curious, what problems did you run into? My own experience is that Yarn 2/3 have worked great, as long as you stick with the "`node_modules` linker" option rather than the "PnP/Zero Install" option.

The end result is essentially the same, yes - all directly requested dependencies, and all of their transitive dependencies, are extracted and installed on disk into `./node_modules`. Yarn came out at a time when NPM was particularly s

The underlying TanStack Query library is UI-agnostic, and has adapters for React and other frameworks. (There's also our RTK Query API that's part of Redux Toolkit, which is UI-agnostic but also has a React adapter.)

Hi, I'm a Redux maintainer. Yeah, Redux Toolkit includes our RTK Query data fetching and caching layer [0] [1], which is roughly equivalent in features and use case to React Query. In fact, the React Query and Redux maintainers cross-r

You can memoize any function with `useCallback`, sync or async. All it's doing is watching when the deps array changes, and saving whatever function reference was passed in at that time. (Note that this does not mean that the function
