Imagine the worldly gains of allowing such an amazing technology to permeate society. Ah, well, that's against the interests of the shareholders. It's better to lock shit down and earn a dollar than precipitate betterment for huma

Seconding this simply for data purposes. iOS 26 was the worst release I've ever dealt with coming from an iPhone 4S user to present. Goddamn there were so many obvious bugs and flaws. The .1 release fixed some of them but my keyboard s

Interesting examples, thank you for sharing. My interactions with GPT 5.1 have shown knowledge of past interactions but I don't explicitly prohibit it as you have done through settings.

I would like to hear others' opinions as well. I guess for me it's a simple mechanism shared with many other social sites. A series of downvotes without explanation demonstrates the zeitgeist disapproves. Maybe the reason why is o

Yes, I think that's an important part of the experience. One can edit some text, some CSS/JS if desired (optional), and immediately see the effect. Publish it and now your changes are global.

On the topic of space games, Kerbal Space Program also had a mod to provide various inflatable space station modules. I loved them - very compact to launch and provided a fun place to float around in IVA on the way to the destination. I bro

Right, I was just wondering if the developers repurposed the term impulse from the physics engine when creating console commands. "impulse 101" is a common cheat to give all weapons with ammo, but why not "give" or "

Just did some quick testing - the doors definitely have physics and can get stuck on objects and can impart forces. But unimpeded yes, they smoothly open/close. I stuck a tire in a door frame and tried to close it, the tire emitted a b

> The door and the guard are both physical objects, both have momentum, they impart an impulse on each other I wonder if the term "impulse" here has any connection to the various impulse commands available in the source engine.

I did some multitasking recently on my iDX4-100 + 64MB FPM. I used NT4 with SP2 because the full SP6 was much slower. I could have a browser open, PuTTY, and some tracker music playing no problem. :)

The original Phat PS2 models support internal IDE disks, though it's easy to convert them to SATA with an inexpensive adapter. Then prepare the SSD and install (I use WinHIIP, "obsolete" but works fine). It noticably improves

IMO in these kinds of studies you can interchange mother/father/<primary caregiver>. One can be traumatized by any caregiver regardless of gender if they're the primary adult.

Apparently the "blades UI" 360s are quite sought after. I wonder if any progress has been made on restoring the stock firmware. I never had one myself unfortunately, mine came preloaded with a later OS.

Yeah, the Pentium 2 and 3 CPUs were very capable. Even today I feel they can do a lot of work with the right tools and some shims to access modern stuff (SSH, RDP). Maybe XBMC's kernel wasn't designed for multitasking and they

Good mention! If one wants to study Unix in an academic sense then xv6 is a great starting point. IIRC, many course studies start with xv6 and gradually adding new capabilities to it.
