I'm reminded of how mathematicians do their best work in their 20s. Many assume this is because of brain decline in later years. I bet it's mostly to do with responsibilities and life getting in the way.

Assuming you're using well-established technologies, your knowledge doesn't become obsolete as quickly. Not even close. I can take a Rails developer who stopped using Rails 5 years ago and get them up to speed in less than a week.

Interesting. I bought a small house (shy of 1500 sq ft) and would kill for an extra 1000 sq ft, despite the fact that it's just the two of us and we don't have kids.

There are even transgender cases in nature (e.g., Clownfish). But yeah, the Appeal to Nature fallacy is pretty silly.

Agreed. His recent Impact Theory interview [1] is worth watching, as is his free mini class. Some pretty incredible claims, but underneath the possible exaggerations, I believe there is enough substance to help people out. 1. https:/&

It makes perfect sense, but it's worth noting that there are plenty of safer exercises for beginners that will improve core and posterior chain. Think glutes bridges, dead bugs, planks, Pallof press, etc. Some people jump straight to t

That’s definitely a factor. That and the automatic reduction in carb intake with such a caloric restriction. I mean, if they fed them pure sugar, they’d still be getting “only” 200g of carbs per day which is still less than what a lot of pe

You absolutely don’t need such caloric restriction to revert diabetes. All it takes is a very low carb or keto diet. Even without exercise.

In the BC interior (say the Okanagan), where houses are cheaper, a $750K house would rent out for $3000/mo. In Vancouver proper, it's common to pay $3K for a nice 800 sq ft condo. I understand it doesn't scale linearly and th

Elixir can be made much faster via tail call optimization. Something like: def fibonacci(n) when n >= 0, do: fib(0, 1, n) defp fib(a, b, n) do case n do 0 -> a _ -> fib(b, a + b, n - 1) e

For context, $500K is a big investment in Canada. Startups here get very little funding. Smart Silicon Valley investors could make bank by investing in Canadian startups for pennies on the dollar.
