Then we need to heavily isolate those specific high-risk communities, while simultaneously maximizing the freedom of everyone else.

That doesn't seem quite right. If your diet consists only of things that do not metabolize into uric acid, how can you experience gout? It might require a very strict diet, but surely this is possible?

ZWave switches and dimmers also continue to work fine without the hub. I do enjoy Caseta's smooth dimming and "nice touch" switch controls however.

Wow, this guy is either willfully ignorant of ZWave technical realities, or just doesn't have as much knowledge in the realm as he purports to have. Basically every gripe listed has to do with using old original ZWave devices. If you s

You should live by your own principles. Get rid of all knives in your kitchen. Because one was just used in France to behead a person. Does this ultimatum still make sense?

Shit, will they get rid of Keep? I LOVE Keep and use it many times daily.

Whenever I hear this I automatically think "Oh, so you have stated you care a certain amount. This amount is greater than zero. Therefore, you are stating you do care?"

This article seems a bit simplistic. It really depends on whether your current and near-future tax rate is less than your tax rate in retirement. Consider that politically, taxes may be lower now than they will be in 30 years. Your tax rate

Wow, I guess this is common. This has happened to me for months using Chrome on Ubuntu with UBlock & Privacy Badger. I always assumed it was the extensions but I guess not. Twitter is literally so buggy. Most of the time I have to refre

The merchant fee sucks for poor people because businesses likely raise margins to cover it (if they see significant volume via credit cards, like grocery stores). Every transaction I make nets me 2-5% 'cashback'. Great for me sinc

It's amazing how much Twitter is censoring the picture. Thankfully it's still easily found on Reddit.

I vote third party in the USA in every election where it is available. I'm definitely rare though. Many of my friends are caught up in picking the 'better of two evils'.

Basically I inherently value non-copyable things more than easily-copyable. This means I'm fine paying $10 for a 6-pack of Miller High Life at the gas station, but will still torrent The Office even if I could pay $5/mo to stream

Transferring those bits with just the right logic for each transaction scenario is what still costs something . I'm sure the margin is massively excessive today. But I don't think it can be quite 'effectively free'.

Maliciously failing to pay should be a crime, in my lowly opinion. It's one thing if you lose your job, but some folks out there are living and working like usual, while simply withholding rent because they can. Obviously this hurts
