I'm not a pixel peeper but I don't find this lens all that impressive. I'm sure it's a very versatile lense with this range of zoom so it could be the one and only lens in your camera bag. But it does have the hallmarks

It's been a couple of decades since I last lived in the UK but I remember quite well that Marks & Spencer had rounded pricing (no .99 deception). I wonder if they kept it up and if they are still doing well over there.

yeah, I agree in this case. But maybe with a more rational actor this would prove effective. Or maybe I'm deluding myself because rational actors don't launch wars to begin with.

Yeah, the day I saw one of those I thought this will end up with a gun turret rather quickly. When they gain a lot of autonomy war will become absolutely unberable for most soldiers. Death and dismemberment will be coming from all direction

Bill Gates dreamed up creating a single program that would allow you to create content regardless of whether you wanted a document a presentation or a spreadsheet. The office app was to be merged into a single unified app from which all kin

This is fine and all but it only shows half of the information, namely the flow of the code. When it models the flow of data then it will become as powerful as the Unreal Engine Blueprints which to me is the pinnacle of visual coding.

For me it never does. Always throws me to a human agent. I haven't had a single case where a bot solved my issue.

$20,000 to run a close to state-of-the-art model is very reasonable. Well within the grasp of most startups and well off individual "gentleman scientists".

Yeah, few people realize what it means to sit on a paper loss for 14 years. Not many have the mental fortitude to do that. But it's really hard to convince the millennials and younger who experienced nothing other than a roaring bull m

It's a good looking phone but... it has a fan on it! That seriously puts me off of it unless the fan can be permanently disabled in settings or firmware.

Ugh, the camera tumors are getting ever more bulky and protruding. Can we have a decent phone with a flat back again for those of us who don't use their phone as a camera?

I think it illustrates a huge problem that those search based companies want LLMs to fulfill the role of authoritative agents where such efforts are bound to end in grief. LLMs should be used in use cases that play to their strenghts: conju

Despite having means to do so I refuse to buy a Tesla due to Musk's antics. I don't want to bankroll that man-child's descent into Q-Anon level idiocy. There are decent alternatives sprouting all around from traditional car m

I had no idea we were still so bad at long form transcription. If WER of 9.99% is still the best we can do then its output is not usable without extensive corrections. One word in 10 being wrong is shockingly high to me.

This is the original short story. I recommend that people read the full book instead or at least read the book first to avoid spoilers. It's at least as good as the short story but expands on the ideas and the story line significantly.
