And you can create a second, small partition/filesystem if you still need to persist some things. I used to have very little data to persist and I would mount/write/unmount every time I write to deal with possible power issue

My tinnitus (from a single loud party), which I had before noise canceling headphones, gets worse with noise canceling headphones, but only temporarily, like 2 or 3 days. I found out as well that my headphones plays my own voice back to me

Agreed. Better to reflect honestly and stop, take the valuable lessons. I try to have fun working on my projects, and not think about the end result all the time. If you are not motivated by money, that is a lot easier of course.

Absolutely, this fight needs to be fought on the cultural/political battlefield. It can never be just a technological arms race or solution, because technology usually favors the rich. Culture eats strategy for breakfast, and mass cult
