I just had a torn out page from a magazine with Audi RS4 on it framed and hung on the wall at the eye level. As dumb as it was, it did miracles during the crunch times.

I'd pay in a tune of $100 for an installable version of this, but would never consider using it as a service. PS. Though you could probably license it to smaller, well-established email service providers like pobox.com.

Describing a gadget in terms of cumulative frequency of its cores is an A-Ok method of giving approximate performance, especially when it's obvious that it's a sum of cores. You and I and anyone moderately interested by this project know

Of course I haven't missed the point. You did :) You can nitpick as much as you want, but for a lot of applications it's perfectly OK to sum up the frequencies. A job that can be spread over 8 cores will be executed at about the same time a

Car analogy is off. Going from A to B is exactly an example of a task that can't be solved in parallel fashion. On the other hand, if you needed to merely cover N miles, then a pool of cars would work just fine.

Don't care for what he's got to say. Not anymore. He lost me at "rotating pedestal smoothly rising from the stage floor" in his iPhone 5 post. If it wasn't obvious whose paycheck he was on before, it became pretty damn clear after that.

I've been using WorldLens [0] for several weeks and while it has an inferior UI and its translation engine is outright dumb, it works offline and it's a HUGE plus. One needs this sort of app when traveling in another country, so the chanc
