How about a Chromebook with a detachable screen (e.g. Lenovo Duet, Acer, or the HP X2)? These can run Android apps and thus support most digital magazine apps such as Zinio plus they often cost much less than a comparable ipad.

My biggest dislike is the storage: my ebook collection is closer to 20GB and I'd love to be able to put it all in the device but it's not to be. The sync story is itunes like (transfer+metadata), which I somewhat dislike, but the

I used to have a 912 as well but its bugs were tiresome so I stopped using it. I can say that the rM2 is a very different beast from that. I didn't expect to like the rM2 and was anticipating returning it when I preordered it but now i

This is what caused me to let me eBay seller account die - they demanded Social Security Number (SSN) to continue selling. Call me crazy but giving my SSN to a company where the C-suite thugs sent live cockroaches to bloggers for negative a

This didn't work out for me in spite of going to the apple store: I was told to drop off my laptop. They then proceeded to 'lose track' of the machine and I eventually got it back after nearly 5 weeks and multiple escalations

For me, it's the nags (e.g. Garmin's 'time to be active') that make it worthwhile to get me out of my groove. Also, the sleep tracking includes things such as SpO2 measurement, which can help one see if changing sleep po

The T-Mobile ISP plan doesn't have any caps afaik. Keep in mind that getting it requires a hard pull credit check. They do have other issues though (e.g. their modem selecting a sub-optimal band leading to poor service.)

I wasn't expecting to like my reMarkable 2 but I've grown to love it. The unassuming ease of use and its desire to just help you work or read without getting in your way is indispensable.

I've checked them out for the last 4 years while contemplating a move from Spectrum and every time, on checkout, there was the $10/month non-removable fee for renting the modem with no opt-out. This is in central Texas.

Old habits die hard: getting internet from AT&T ime still requires leasing their 'modem' for a monthly cost while cable providers let you bring your own device to avoid the monthly fee.
