Take a look at Festool’s MFT 3 table system. It is a grid of 20mm holes, spaced at 96mm on center. There are many time saving and convenient tools made to take advantage of them, and many more custom stuff that craftsmen build to make thing

I make and sell custom tabletops compatible with the festool woodworking products. I cut them locally on my CNC router and advertise exclusively through craigslist. I do 3-5 per month of those, and another 10 projects / month that come

FWIW, I did this with a 2011 MacBook pro 17" 7 times, and it worked every time. Each time it worked for about 3 months, and then the video card would glitch out again. Finally, apple did a warrantee extension on that logic board and re

Yeah, but that seems pretty rational. VCs are only slightly less short-term than public markets. While rockets are awesome, it is not clear that there can be a 10 year positive return on them. It could be possible that a startup with a bunc

Not a direct response, but in the case of modern automotive paints, especially 2 part urethane or epoxy ones it is exactly right - they're even based on the same chemicals! Of course, that doesn't really mean that paints work as g

You’re right - I was a bit unclear. What I mean is that ETF balancing activity ends up being untaxed. Effectively, you get diversification, gains, reinvestment of dividends, etc but never have to realize the gains unless you sell. The avoid

I suspect that this would be good for the economy. I can’t prove it, but I strongly suspect that cap gains deferrals over time are an important component of encouraging asset bubbles. A huge benefit of The benefit of ETFs have been to encou

I’m rent controlled, from about 7 years ago, and am at about 60% of market for my neighborhood. However, I’m handy and have been pretty good about fixing/improving the house on the cheap for him. Still, my own landlord aside, the enfor
