Behold California! master of the Pyrrhic victory. Now we have more unemployment claims for CA to process. I'm sure they'll get right on that.

As someone who doesn't play any games on my phone, and doesn't care at all about Epic, I guess the best alternative here for me, is that Apple just allow 3rd party app stores. I guess they could fully sandbox those stores so that

It turns out that most of my friends from SF have all left for the same general area, so it became a pretty easy decision for us. Additionally, We are moving to a place where many of our college friends also live, so we are hoping that some

I agree that things used to be different, but, not usually better. apps used to be malware a lot more on desktops, no sites had great reliability records, and the OSes and devices were slow, heavy, and un optimized. Sure, phones are not des

I still remember before test mode, when the teacher would just come around and do 2nd, +, 7,1,2 and that would reset the calc to factory settings. It became mandatory to have the USB adaptor to reload apps. The Ti83 is how I learned to prog

I like this - in general, I’m a fan of this (my job is survey research). There are many different approaches to getting better results than most reviews get. Personally, I’d love to see a max-diff approach to reviews.

We barely need a Yelp for restaurants. I think it is time for the internet to acknowledge that the pointless drivel in star rating systems is just not helping anyone. If you’re going to start a system for rating things, give it more nuance

That would be virtually impossible. There are SO many bones. In many desert washes it only took us minutes to find some. Most of what you find won’t have much scientific significance.

Potentially, managing isn't a full-time-job, full-time. There are management moments that can easily consume you for weeks/months, and if the manager should have been coding also, then the timeline is ruined. If the manager has sl
