   It's deliberately made to be addictive too. These social media sites really need to be heavily regulated, with that in mind. Preferably out of existence. A global ban on internet advertising, if it were possible, would probably be one

   It's basically the rapist mindset, but applied to online services. There are many men out there with diseased rapist minds.

   Similarly, I remember seeing some pretty awful comments on HN threads regarding female programmers. Comment after comment shitting on their achievements, presumably from mediocre men who feel threatened by a successful woman in the field. N
