I was thinking last night. Shouldn't software we make help people instead of replacing them? Why must innovation be in the direction of and at the cost of replacing humans?

In the same vein, I have a single-file library which allows you to use flat files as key-value DBs. Uses SQLite under the hood. Sharing in case someone finds it useful: https://github.com/aaviator42/storx

It is a fork of an older version, I will update it sometime soon and send a PR upstream for the vert switcher, although I'm afraid it might not be implemented in the neatest way possible. :)

I wonder what could have been done to fix this bug. Does anyone with more experience with the game have any ideas?

I am by no means an exceptional dev, but some PHP code I've written can be found on my GitHub. None of it uses frameworks, and a bunch of it is small libraries ('components') that make up my own personal functional 'fram

In case it wasn't obvious from the context of the rest of my comment, I was using this dictionary definition of 'functional': > designed to be practical and useful, rather than attractive. It gets the job done. Really we

I'm in the same boat! PHP is so insanely functional. There are a lot of powerful frameworks but I personally like to keep my projects very simple with minimal dependencies and nothing comes close in terms of how fast I can go from id

I've been using SQLite in production for years and am very happy with it. I believe it's sufficient for the vast majority of web use cases. I have a bit of battle-tested code that gives me a nice key-value interface to SQLite file

Hey, nice! Here's my take on the same concept: https://github.com/aaviator42/zaap Allows me to have an API with multiple methods and endpoints up and running in minutes. :)

I agree with a lot of your comment, but what's wrong according to you with php.ini? I've always found it a really handy way to customise the behaviour of my php installs and apps, and I've actually learnt a fair bit from just

Even regular FF for Android has a lot of privacy and tracking prevention features. I highly recommend trying it out. Also install uBlock Origin.

Firefox (standard, non-focus) on Android has a reader view toggle button in the URL bar. Then you can go to the 3 dot menu > customize reader view , and increase the font size. I do not know if this is a complete solution for you, but I
