Interesting! I'm not very knowledgeable about this topic so I'm wondering why workflows would rely on code that doesn't remove the sources of non-determinism? (runtime errors, lack of proper serialized synchronization logic e

Well it's either that or you don't have a library and have wait for someone employed by a company to release something. Someone has to get paid at some point. If this is their business why shoot it down? It's either that or s

Somehow I will be a bit contrarian. I believe that people relt on writing as a crutch if they do it too often. Thinking clearly should be a great mental exercise that people don't reap the benefits of since it is easier to write. Easie

Nothing much to say apart from me being really hyped about this project. It's almost time I dive in. I would like to be able to call android/iOS routines with this. Wondering what the overhead would be too.

You often do it in Go to avoid pointing at something needlessly which would delay or even keep that something from being garbage collected.

Yes but also think about it? In 2012 and even now, which language would you use to replace Go. Assuredly not C++, nor Rust... No javascript, swift has become more complex apparently, not haskell... Not C... OCaml? No it has a weird syntax,

Oh you're right. I had forgotten about that. I think it's mostly an API legacy mistake. Close should probably return (bool, error). Probably a remnant of coding in C wrt sentinel values.

Ignoring an error is a red herring. You have to go out of your way to actually use a special character to do it. No, one real issue that can happen if one is not careful (but fortunately linters help) is variable shadowing which may lead to

Interesting. So basically the index storage is a way to create a reference to an object that is not compiler checked?
