I don't think anyone is worrying about a depression based on the _current_ unemployment number. The concern is that things are going to get much worse because of frozen credit markets, nationalized banks, globalized finance, trade deficits,

I assume you mean procmail, not procmon. Decent MTAs (like qmail) make it pretty easy to have mail delivered to a script.

Do what ezmlm does with bounce messages: use a different envelope sender for each outgoing mail and encode the message ID in that address. If you get a mail to the envelope sender you can typically assume it's a non-delivery report of some

This article seems to ignore the main argument I've heard: exit strategies are fewer in a recession. IPOs are out of the question and few companies are in an acquisition mood. So instead of growing fast and selling out before you hit your p

I've often wished that the "x for" could be optional, but yes. It's like bar charts and tables. Tables communicate more information, but we're visual creatures and thus prefer bar charts.

I'm not sure I understand this argument. When startup founders bail out, they typically go and find a normal job instead. Why would a social safety net make this any easier?
