Second this and even when these restrictions apply to foreign nationals as visa enforcement it’s still a chilling effect on American citizens.

Some chemicals can be extremely potent climate problems. Starlink does represent an astronomical increase in these metals etc in the atmosphere.

I don’t think china actually has this level of surveillance state anymore. The social credit system has, from my shallow understanding, been effectively removed in a bunch of the cities it was setup in.

Literally none of this matters. Ban them from operating in the US. There are literally countless better ways to deal with this. Also, given this party is trying to legalize child labor in multiple states, I don’t think they did this because

Then fine the companies and don’t shackle the workers. This isn’t just going to impact our relationship with Korea, but also the rest of the world too. Optics, in international relations, matter a lot.

I wouldn’t be surprised if China decides to step into that role. As the influence of America wanes, it’s a perfect opportunity for China. And as we saw in the Pakistan - India conflict, their weapons work.

As an American, British, German, etc citizen our taxes are funding a genocide. But we are here giving self help guides on how to tune out the sounds of dying kids instead of demanding consequences from our government.

Very interesting that you’re mixing two sources: one partially reputable and one entirely unreliable for this news. And then you don’t make a distinction of which claim comes from where. The first claim comes from BBC, all the rest come fro

This is what multi perspective helps with. It doesn’t mitigate every single attack. But think about what DANE is for a second. If a bad actor is MITMing your connection to some endpoint, they certainly can MITM your DNS queries too.

Doesn’t matter. I think we’re fighting semantics. Certificates are cached trust, and all the cache busting problem applies here.

Running basic automation to keep your certificates renewed is not difficult. I do this on my toy website and it’s been working without me touching it since before the pandemic.

You’re just moving your root of trust to DNS then? With certificates we’re doing multi perspective validation. DNS root of trust is silly. DNSSEC is not a proper root of trust
