I don't suppose you'd count something like the da Vinci robots as a step forward? I got to try out a demo unit once (on a dummy! not on a real human), really cool stuff. I'm really glad I tried it _after_ I had my laparoscopi

It's much more difficult to prefetch them, though - if you're traversing a large list it misses the cache every time, rather than just the first element. (someone please correct me if I'm wrong)

If you’re going to use words like “never”, are you fine with the right to punch whoever you like?

Let's say I have a data definition that is some length value and then some number of bytes based on the length value. If I want to load up the same definition for another file (something I guess you also don't support) the length

This is neat, though it doesn't really go deep enough for me. Not being able to specify variable length fields is unfortunate.

We tried this out for a few social events. It worked pretty well, but the choppy world movement makes me a little sick. :( Any chance of a smooth camera/movement option?

Given that actions can reference other actions, is this even feasible? You'd have to go and fork all deps, and then if you ever want to pull upstream, repatch.

Doesn’t this create an incentive for those who make enough to vote to enact more laws to make it harder for those who can’t?

Frankly that's a horrifying prospect - if I get seriously injured and have to go on permanent disability, I'd rather not be (further?) disenfranchised. This is the same as saying "I don't believe disabled/poor peopl

It would be enough to get an interview for me. :) They would have to tell me when they felt it was appropriate and inappropriate to use such a trick to get a hire. It feels like most C++ devs don't know SFINAE - I'd rather find so

Tesla is not in the lead, nobody I've talked to in self driving even thinks about Tesla. Disclosure: I work at a self driving company that is neither Tesla nor Waymo.

To both rubenerd and some_furry - keep doing what you're doing. You write articles for your own enjoyment and your own communities. As you probably realize - you have no obligation to cater to anyone but yourself. :)

I know plenty of "aging ravers" who are well into their 50s and 60s (and for that matter - yes, goths over 30, too). Just because a community formed around a common (possibly frivolous) interest doesn't make it "not a re
