It would have been far less interesting had you accidentally touched the hot side first. :)

Yeah I refuse to buy the battle pass on principle. I would have probably bought them if it were just cosmetics.

Your local drug store has cleaner that can sit in your ear and dissolve ear wax, along with a special ear pick. In my experience it works well, especially if you have someone to do the awkward scooping after. YMMV if it works better than hy

I have an NES emulator with working sound! Except it generates sound at 1.8MHz like a real NES...whereas Windows wants something like 44.Khz. :( I was never able to figure out the best way to downsample it, but it sounds proper if I resampl

The actual man2mus program appears to be not accessible to the easily searchable public internet anymore, but there's a few references to it - "usub/man2mus A manual page to .mus translator". It's Perl, apparently.

That only matters if you're storing it. The big issue is 99% of code out there uses mutable template types for containers, and if you ever declare a container that doesn't have a mutable template type, you stub your toe as your ne

Yup, it's definitely a bit of a code smell if you do. The issue is more the reverse, though - I can't make a mutable map, then hand it by pointer/reference to something that says it wants an immutable map later.

C++ still has this problem - std::unordered_map<std::string, std::string>` and `std::unordered_map<std::string, const std::string>` are basically unrelated types - you can't const-cast the templated const away. (I may be mi

I did something similar, but couldn’t figure out a clever enough way of resampling the audio from “native” rate down to something that Windows was happy with. What was your strategy?
