Disappointed, there are no rules listed in the article that might predict commercial success. Maybe the last paragraph is the moneyquote, but it feels entirely shallow. I'm only suggesting that we properly gauge the difficulty of what

It is not for tech sake, this is building a database. Never attribute to incompetence what can be adequately explained by bogus engagement KPIs

In my bubble it seems every other programmer wants to quit to take up wood working or craft brewing. Third by some distance is people growing stuff, especially chili peppers.

Office vs remote is a red herring. The fundamental question is whether an employee should be free to pick their preferred workplace. Is is a superset of regular office work.

Whenever I'm forced to use 2fa the most probable outcome is that I will get locked out when I need to log in the most. Not to mention most implementation in the wild trivially reduces to 1 factor. I could make a case for MFA if really

My apartment is not conductive to robot vacuums, but would entertain the idea of employing a bunch of robot window cleaners. Seems like a very well defined problem at first glance.

From what I recall it was exactly the same 10 years ago. This is a repeating pattern, let's reinvent X but call it something else to bask in the rays of disruption and mislead regulators/consumers long enough to succeed.

Exactly, tooling is underhyped, programming languages do not exist in a vacuum. Intellij is at the top of the power continuum as far as I'm aware. It is a perfectly valid to pick Java just for this single reason imo.

I simply don't understand how people favor a stringly typed custom DSL in a reasonably typed language like java. Why is it better to write Spring annotations instead of actual java code? There is literally no upside.

This is not the same problem AFAIU. You don't know whether your tests encode the correct specification either, but you must run them first to find out whether they pass, but with (dependent) types you can have the sorted list property
