Yeah, I think this is for you iff you actually want a weird little messenger. Play around with LORA or some mesh network thing, but it will never be a "look, oh I have a homebrew PDA that I actually use"

It is so hard to implement . I have seen it done well. Often there is like a spreadsheet-based language somewhere in the middle based on those actual spreadsheets the business uses.

Yeah, if I were you I would work as as hard/smart as feasible to finish the uni. I.e. I am fortunate to live in the EU and have many friends that dropped off uni to work and now live happy lives and first time they bumped into a proble

I half expected this to promote Postgrest or one of it's alternatives and was surprised it didn't do that by the end of the post. I used it for this exact usecase, we had some data in postgress and front-end had limited api, and r

You can always start with something simple, and maybe just fork it for your own use. Do a little improvement here and there ...

Microscope is one of those games that is easier to play solo than most RPGs that were not meant to do that, when you use it just like your creative writing exercise quide. And somebody even made a nice app - https://utgars-chron

I enjoyed the Microscope! But that one is very much on the creative writing side. Simmilarily I did enjoy Quiet Year. Several of those map-making/settings building should work well. I wanted to try Gun & Slinger, but that one wants

I played around with my kid with supervision, and had her alone with ... midjourney, I think? Million weird dragons ensued. I probably wouldn't give her access to chatgpt, but more for dislike of my kid's chats being stored with a

Solved is a strong word. For most people, especially with git-forges geing so popular, yes. But if you are doing binaries, because you are an artist/do 3d modeling, you probably sill use svn. And I am still checking in on https:/

Find yourself friends and a project. When I was your age, best thing I managed to do was to help a friend create a small graphing-calculator in Java? It was fun, we learned a ton and as he already was doing odd-jobs for his dad with Java EE

I have tried to learn J, it seems to be one of the most well documented. And Ike itself is not a bad environment to play around with K https://johnearnest.github.io/ok/ike/ike.html It has a repl as well in: https

I am currently writing a small app for my partner. I asked friends what should I use. Decided on react native. It is literaly a slideshow of a praticular pdf (rules for a new dog-sport), just as dedicated app. It is maybe 100 lines. Maybe I

If you need low power? If you don't care about power consumption, being fanless, small, then yeah, you will find better bang for buck.

Trying to force multiplayer RPG's to work solo is a stretch, I give you that. On the other hand, there are good, well made, solo-rpgs, aven though many are more of a creative-writing exercise than the monster-smashing/dungeon-delv
