I discussed this with my partner that takes her hobby of dog-training very seriously (like, we live with three dogs, and she sometimes does payed woroshops, e.t.c) that Border Colies are often considered to be the most intelligent dogs, but

This is the reason why postgrest is mostly solution looking for a problem to solve. I.e. last time I had great usecase, I ran into the problem that I needed good integration with our identity-service and didn't want to do the workaroun

No, product/dev disconect was there quite often for years. Red Hat has kinda been living off the unix-to-linux migration that happened in early 2000s, and because I think we didn't wan to become the kind of company that just maint

Well, there was lot of jokes at the start, people comming in to work in blue ties for day or two. In reality, nothing changed, for better or worse, we did kinda speculate that this was kind of an expensive acquihire of one James M. Whitehu

I think it is just about growing knowledge and acceptance on one side and growing need to demarcate yourself on the other. Everything is a spectrum, right? I remember ~20 years ago, when I knew nothing of being trans-gender as a concept, an

I think part of it was that the sort happened when we were ~10yo? People from A-class were the sort of straigh-A student that then coasted on the fact learning came to them ~naturally, so maybe that is why the perceived performance declined

I have seen less than 0.1% in my school fail like this. But yeah, it was punitive and usually did provoke a "well screw YOU!" response or ingrain "I must really be stupid" mindset.

For backend, most languages are acceptable, and depends on your team and personal preference. Python will do the job. Java-shops still chug along. Go-lang is nice. Node-js is fine. Personally, I prefer javascript to GO, as it is more expres

I think the point of this is to focus on countermeasures that work, because if you divide your attention wrong, you can start approaching something like a sanitization-theatre, that looks like you are doing impactful things but in reality
