I have a “dog” my wife adopted in Africa that looks almost exactly like an Ethiopian wolf. When I read about the temperament and behavior of wolves kept as pets, he checks every single box to a T. We love him, but he is far more intelligent

The old concept of an instrument does not map well to electronic music equipment- perhaps it would make sense to say that the combination of the input device that interacts with your body, and the computer or synthesizer are together a sin

I don't think that is true- I build and restore both wooden and fiberglass boats with epoxy, and have used it in almost every possible way. There are different thicknesses of epoxy with different properties, but the ones specially desi

Why not just use epoxy? It’s pretty easy to work with.

The Volvo 940 had all of those modern safety features, but was still more or less the same car as the older RWD 740. Mercedes also had that stuff early- I had a 1987 Mercedes diesel that had front air bags, ABS, and was basically modern car

I live in a warm area and just leave the top down year round… but the 03+ soft top with multiple layers and glass window is quite good in any weather- but you can get a good hard top for 2-3k. It’s a better deal to buy one already with it.

I agree it's not metal, but it's definitely industrial. I'd call it power noise or electro-indstrial. Metal usually means guitars, not synths to me- however the sub-generes of industrial are confusing and mixed up. They'

Depends on what car you're interested in- take a look at vwvortex.com, pelican parts and rennlist (for Porsche), audiworld, turbobricks (Volvo).

I'd argue that AWD is fine too, especially if rear biased. Any AWD AUDI or VW with the 1.7t or 2.7tt is pretty cheap- even the 3.0 turbo diesel is very tunable and sold w/ AWD. Mercedes and BMW both make RWD 4 cylinder turbos, mod

It’s all a matter of the vehicle and what your goals are- sure at some point you need to modify everything else, but a turbo car gets a lot further to start with for a lot less money. I grew up tuning old Volvos and Mercedes and they were s

I don’t see how the fact that they make sound digitally in any way makes them less of an instrument. MIDI controllers are instruments- and incredibly flexible ones with almost limitless sound possibilities at that.

I agree- I’m active on forums and in the “scene” of modifying turbocharged European cars. It’s alive and well and the DIY technology has come so far from 20 years ago- now with totally open source fuel injection systems, etc. People are dou

I disagree on both of these. Turbo engines are usually much cheaper to tune- most of the time you can substantially increase the power with just more boost. More serious power requires a bigger turbo and bigger injectors which is still che

Really? I think most people get plenty of benign letters from law firms. I do for things like consumer class action lawsuits I’m eligible to join, and stuff related to getting paid for things I invented….

Carbon would cause galvinic corrosion in contact with magnesium, and would also visually hide dangerous cracks- I don’t think a carbon wrapped magnesium bicycle would be safe.
